  1. . Participants will learn how to discriminate between expert testimony that is empirically based, necessary or helpful vs. unreliable, prejudicial or misleading;
  2. Identify the limitations of appropriate expert witness testimony;
  3. Compare the differences in professions in order to find the best expert for a particular case;
  4. Formulate specific goals to communicate to the expert, in order to help the expert communicate clearly to the finder of fact;
  5. Outline challenges to inappropriate expert witness testimony
